Product Info
This small, underfoot analog device provides high-quality, low-noise pre-amplification with gain control of passive microphone and electronic instrument signals. It also provides unity gain for a stereo line-level input signal, sums the two sound sources, and presents the resulting stereo line-level signal to an output port. Finally, the foot switch enables or disables a reverb/echo effect on the mic/instrument input. The delay and sustain of this effect may be modified using the two controls below the mic gain control on the front panel. Clipping detection gives the user a visual indication of potential distortion in the output stereo signal. The user may run the REX (MAEMC01) on the internal rechargeable batteries, or on external power to save battery power and increase signal dynamic range.
A small switch next to the DELAY control may be set to the "Down" position, allowing the user to plug in an expression pedal on the LINE-IN port. With the DELAY control set to max, the expression pedal can change the delay continuously over the upper half of its range, allowing for pitch change on echo effects. The signal assignments to the 6.35mm plug are: TIP=adjust input, RING=5VDC Out, SLEEVE=GND.
